ESL Teacher Part 2 Are you ready to go to a different country and work as an English Conversation Teacher? Are you ready to work in any country? Most of the countries will ask for copy of a certificate/degree, passport, picture, salary preference, living preference, maybe some references, and health record. Make up a list of preferences and include them on the last page of your resume or on a separate document. Make sure you are healthy before you go to another country even if you get sick after you are in another country. It would be a good idea to have a health check before you go to another country and have that record with you when you arrive in the country. In China and Korea you will need to have a small physical by a designated physician in the country. Preferences: One bedroom apartment Willing to share with male/female Want private apartment Air conditioning and heat Computer and printer Internet access Hot and cold water Telephone Electricity Kitchen Western apartment Shower and bath Refrigerator Country to work Teach/Work with high school students Teach/Work with college students Teach/Work with company Teach/Work with recruiting agency Books School materials TV Salary range Accept female or male friends over night Airfare request one-way or round trip Willing to work for 3-6-9-12 months Willing to work only Monday thru Friday Set the number of hours per week Request a copy of the contract from all the invitations to work Include everything that you can think of that will make your stay comfortable. The living quarters might be your home away from home. Always remember everything is negotiable. Include the information in the ESL Document folder with the other documents.
