Read/Reading What you read or are reading can determine how much you learn and what you learn. How big of a vocabulary do you want? Who do you plan on influencing with your conversation? Definition = to utter aloud the printed or written words; to learn from what one has seen or found in writing; to acquire information; interpret; to learn something by reading; understand; comprehend. Related Words = interpretation, record, register, say Today there is an abundance of reading material, books, magazines, ezines, and journals to name but a few. When students attend school they read to comprehend and please the parents and educational institutions. They are told what to read and study in every country. It is not until maybe the students enter elementary school they start becoming more diverse with their reading for future interests. Depending on who has the most influence with a student and of course their capability to comprehend the material, they might decide to select a field of interest. Tutoring for English conversation should be for the student interests. The wider the worldly interests the more in-depth conversation. I would recommend expanding the interests into unexplored areas. It would give the student more information to sort and learn something new. Not everyone has a wide variety of interests. Keep reading and exploring as many areas as you can. Use reading as a form of research to expand and learn something new.
